Lisa A. Sworowski, Ph.D., ABPP
_Formerly the Associate Director of Neuropsychology at the Isaac Ray Forensic Group and Michigan Avenue Neuropsychologists in Chicago, Dr. Sworowski is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist with over 12 years of experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations. She obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Kansas and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Chicago. She coordinated two NIH-funded grants examining the effects of substance use and HIV on cognition. She held an academic appointment in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Chicago where she lectured interns, residents and fellows on neuroanatomy and neuropsychological disorders, and supervised advanced practicum students and interns in assessment and treatment. Dr. Sworowski has presented original research at national conferences and published on topics such as multiple sclerosis, stroke, substance use and malingering. She has provided expert testimony in federal and state courts, in both criminal and civil matters. Dr. Sworowski recently relocated to the Charlotte area and founded CNS.
